I always felt it was just to much for bedroom volume. I used a Dr.Z Trainwreck attenuator to calm it down a little with good results. 50 watts is still alot.
 
I don't have much problem with the clean ch at lower levels, but the 2nd ch needs some vol depending on how much gain/drive is injected in. The more dirt your pushing, the more power amp needed to soak up the pre-amp fizz.
 
It's all in the ears of course but my LSC sounds great at low volumes and even better cranked up
 
Mine sounds great at low volumes, even on the 100 watt setting. But be careful, once you open it up so you can feel it, you'll never want to play it quiet again!
