If anyone noticed, a whole bunch of C+'s went up for sale on ebay with really low prices, and people are bidding. Is this a sign of the economy moving up a bit, or just coincidence?

Funny I was more perplexed that there were four brand spankin new Mark V's on there a few days ago. At least around here noone seems to think the economy is getting any better. Still no jobs and more local business's still closeing. Could mean things are getting even worse for people to start selling off their "keeper" gear. We sold a 69 tele on consignment last week and a guy brought in a 72 Howard Roberts guitar.

The IIC+'s started showing up months ago when the economy tanked, people got upside down in their mortgages, lost their jobs, and started looking around the house for stuff to sell that was worth something.
When the economy is good, people hang on to stuff like Mark IIC+'s because they're appreciating investments.
You don't sell the cool stuff unless the wolves are at the door.
On the other hand, they might just be idiots trying to raise cash for a Mark V.
The glut of Mark V's is just buyer's remorse. Or being married.

What he said.

Well considering there are probably around 3500 C+'s including the upgraded models I think the prices are still low. Even if all the IICs were upgraded, the amp is still remarkably scarce.

Once those heavy guitar and amp collectors move on from fender/gibson/marshall....Mesa will probably be next on the amp list. Ill give you three guesses which amp will be most popular with collectors once that happens.
