Hey guys.
On the back of the stiletto, and also other Mesa's there's the output control so you can balance out the volume when you use something in the loop. If there's nothing in there, what's the best place to keep it at? I have nothing in the loop, and have it set at 12:00 or normal according to the knob. Can this cranked to give your amp more power and volume? Or does it have to stay at 12:00 when there is nothing in the loop?

Thanks!

just checked the schematic for ya.
the output of the send controll is a flip flop between signal and ground.
so logically, id put it all the way up and drive the last few gain
stages just that much harder.
compare the sound of the send cranked and loop bypass.
if you do use something in the loop, turn the level way down again
so you dont peak out the input of what ever device youre using, then
crank the heck out of the output of the device.

tell us what you think.

sorry to double post, but i remembered one more thing.
the loop bypass switch also bypasses the master output and solo controls,
so try to balance all the volumes before you make a comparison
on the different tones.
good luck
