I am playing through a Mk IV Widebody combo with a 300watt EV speaker. I have pulled great tone out of the speaker considering there's only one 12 in there. But I'm starting to think about adding a cabinet to the setup. I'm not sure if I should add a 1x12 cab or go for a 2x12. I'm aiming to get an even better tone out of the combo and adding a cab is the only answer I've come up with thus far. More low end would be nice! And I want to retain a warm tone, too....no shreiking highs!
As far as back of cab options...I understand that closed backs will offer more bass response. Is this true? What are pros or cons of 1x12 vs. 2x12? Thanks for input if have any!!!
