Long Journey
Going on a long journey, never been before
Got a dry anticipation, for a distant shore
Ah yeah, take me there.
Gonna see the sunrise, in a different way
No one said it'd be easy, but it's a brand new day.
Going on a long journey, oh yeah
Long journey, take me there
Ooh yeah
Long journey, oh-yeah, such a long journey,
yeah
God help me, help me please
Let me have what I need
Won't take no more than that,
Your advice, I will heed.
Oh yea, long journey
I've never been before
Got a dry anticipation
For a distant shore, for a distant shore….
Distant shore…..
Gonna see the sunrise, in a different way
No one said it'd be easy,
But it's a brand new day, brand new day.
Oh yeah,
Take me there.

top notch as always!!!! very well recorded......your unique vocal style has really grown on me as you continue to post songs and I love the way you deliver your vocals!

hey masque!

thanks for checking this out, and for responding....

you know,
singing this one, was really easy. maybe i should just stick to the easy ones, eh?!
heheh
the thing i worked on the most, was the phrasing of the rhythm guitars.
i wanted there to be space, between the chords on the electric, while the acoustic kind of blended together.
a balancing act, if you will.
but once i had the bed tracks basic mixed, the singing was done in a couple of takes.

the harmonies, i punched in on this one, but the lead vox was done as an entire verse, or chorus or bridge at a time.
