I have a line 6 spider (|||) 30 watt and it's MINT with the 2 button FBV footswitch. This was my second amp after selling my marshall MG15 and I've moved on to my third amp since the line 6, Mesa Boogie dual rectifier halfstack.

I got an amazing deal on it, was a little short on cash and couldn't let the deal slip away so I owe my dad $276 CND I beleive thats what I was short.

now, my dad mentioned that I should keep the Line 6 as a practice amp... but I don't really want to. I need money to buy other stuff. I need a hardcase because the guitar I bought from ebay came with a gig bag...

so if I sell the line 6, get that money and get other money from cutting grass (no part time job yet) I could pay my dad back soon and start saving up and buy a hardcase.

so.... my question is, how much do you guys think I could sell my line 6 for? like I said it's mint, only left my room 5-6 times same shape as it left the store.

I got $90 CND for my old marshall MG 15 so the line 6 would be worth more then that.

I was thinking $165 or around there since I have the footswitch too that I bought.

preferable canadian advice, because these amps might be more in the US and im talking canadian currency

any help would be awesome,

thanks!

and BTW these amps are $240 plus tax new and I bought the footswitch, that costed me some money

I should just take it up to the local music store and see what they think, I just need cash

As a general rule of thumb, you are lucky to get half the new street price for a used guitar or amp. The exceptions are collectables such as old Fender Blackface and Tweed amps and certain out of production and desirable guitars and pedals. Used Mesa stuff usually holds value better than less expensive stuff like Crate.

Search eBay's completed items for your amp for a more precise estimate, then set your price a little lower because eBay prices are usually higher than what you will get in the local classifieds. Of course if you have all the boxes, envelopes, bags, covers, hang tags and the amp looks and plays like new, you will get more than otherwise.

yeah, thats right. and I guess if I want to sell it, it would be a god time to sell it because the price will just depreciate not apreciate

i have a friend who wants to buy it for $160 CND and I might sell it to him because his amp died at practice today I think and the price will only go down.

I will probably need a practice amp but after I pay my dad back and stuff I could buy a little cheap tube practice amp maybe
