Let There Be Rock.

Warner Home Video has confirmed a July 25th UK release date for the Blu-ray, DVD release of AC/DC's legendary concert film, Let There Be Rock.

The North American release date is set for June 7th and will also be available in a 30th Anniversary Collector's Tin.

The release documents AC/DC's 1979 Paris concert during the Australian heavy metal band's Highway To Hell tour. Interview segments and humorous backstage footage show another side to the musicians, especially AC/DC's flamboyant lead singer Bon Scott, who died two months after this filmed concert.

The tracklisting is as follows: 'Live Wire' 'Shot Down in Flames' 'Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be' 'Sin City' 'Walk All over You' 'Bad Boy Boogie' 'The Jack' 'Highway to Hell' 'Girls Got Rhythm' 'High Voltage' 'Whole Lotta Rosie' 'Rocker' 'Let There Be Rock'.

... sounds good, but haven't you've been watching it as well on video since the last couple of decades ? its really one of their best ... especially with angus' insight on blondes ... ... remember when you could watch it in movie theatres ?

hehe

that was for the 'non believers'

In the beginning
Back in nineteen fifty five
Man didn't know 'bout a rock 'n' roll show
'N all that jive
The white man had the schmaltz
The black man had the blues
No one knew what they was gonna do
But Tschaikovsky had the news, he said

Let there be light, and there was light
Let there be sound, and there was sound
Let there be drums, there was drums
Let there be guitar, there was guitar, ah
Let there be rock

And it came to pass
That rock 'n' roll was born
All across the land every rockin' band
Was blowin' up a storm
And the guitar man got famous
The business man got rich
And in every bar there was a superstar
With a seven year itch
There was fifteen million fingers
Learnin' how to play
And you could hear the fingers pickin'
And this is what they had to say

Let there be light, sound, drums, 'n guitar, ah
Let there be rock

One night in a club called the Shakin' Hand
There was a 42 decibel rockin' band
And the music was good
And the music was loud
And the singer turned and he said to the crowd

Let there be rock

Heavy Metal?!?!?! Really?!?!?! I don't see any distortion pedals on the floor. Scooped mid EQ or any other that stuff. Phil Rudd is the king of the 2,4 beat. I just really disagree with calling AC/DC "heavy metal." My definition is "kick ass rock n roll." Just wanted to rant.

Don't forget about AC/DC Live @ River Plate too!!

Was that the movie that theaters set up a big PA system to go along with the show back when it first came out? I remember going to an AC/DC movie that they had that at about 30 years ago. We went back several times.

As bad as I hate Wal-Mart, I snuck in through the automobile service entrance, and bought this DVD. The Bon Scott-era AC/DC has a certain energy to it that seems to have been lost after his death. My favorite AC/DC song ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hruhe6n7Stk
