Hey guys!

I'd love to hear how you guys are settings your Roadsters for lead sounds.

I'm trying to work with Channel 3, so if you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them...boost? No boost? I'm close, but not quite there yet...

Thanks!

Eric

well if a roadking 1 counts ... I use channel 3 for a old school rhythm sound....Thin Lizzy era of marshalled up guitar tone.

I use only the EL34.s but ... I often add a pair of 6L6's in the variac selection. Ill use the diode if I want to punch through a bit more or Ill leave it to the recto if I want to take advantage of a dynamic sound.

Master vol - 9, Presence - 4, bass at 4, mid at 12, treble at 11-12. gain at 1.

I never use the modern input selection always raw or vintage... it makes the channel break up nicely with a more defined growl.
I leave channel four as my "Metallica'd" rhythm and lead channel. I do use a clean boost with each though.

Hope this helps..

Ch 3 Vintage, Bold, Tube Rectifier, 100W.
Master 12:00
Gain 1:30-2:00
Bass 10:00
Mid 11:30
Treble 1:00
Presence 9:30-10:00
Output 10:30

Dom

** Edit ** I neglected to mention I'm using a TS-9 modded to 808 specs as a boost.

First of all, I usually run my Roadster contrary to what the majority do, which is either have my rhythm on channel 3 to run with or without an EQ pedal in the loop. For leads, I use my Keeley TS9DX Flexi 4X2 on top of leads. But hey, sometimes I just fine that even without the TS, it sounds good anyway...
