Ok. Probably nothing to worry about, but I found that the LD2 Yellow setting on my Triaxis has slightly lower gain and volume in comparison to LD2 Green and LD2 Red. Am I just being picky or has anyone experienced this as well?

I'm thinking it might have something to do with the touch sensitivity sensor in the unit. I have no idea how that thing works, but when I play softer during leads and for harmonics (ala Megadeth's Tornado of Souls) the TriAxis doesn't recognize the difference in the dynamics of my playing. Sometimes the gain is too soft then suddenly it kicks in mid-riff and vice versa. What should I do?

Just out of curiosity, what mode was it on when you blew it up using the Palmer?

I was using multiple modes including LD2 Yellow. The Boogie Authorized tech said that it was only the preamp tubes that we're bad (they were 2+ years old with very little use). Makes perfect sense as I was pushing the preamp with an outboard FX pedal (MXR KFK 10-Band Stereo EQ). I just A/B'd my rig with my friends Triaxis/2:90 rig and he has the same thing going on. So, there's nothing to worry about there except the gain on my LD2 Yellow is slightly less saturated. I'm sending it in as a precautionary measure...maybe it's a tube thing after all. I'll find out after I get it back from Boogie. I'm betting that it's nothing as all of the other modes work perfectly and sound delicious. I might actually send the 2:90 to them as well to see if they can find anything weird with it. Maybe that's the culprit?

On a side note, I noticed my friends rig had a strange thing going on. After we warmed up the preamp and the power amp, when I went to turn on the standby switch on his 2:90 and it randomly changed the LED's on his Triaxis. He said that it was common, and it only happens when he doesn't have his controller plugged in...but I thought that was kinda strange. It kind of reminded me of this thread http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4794.

I bet the 2:90 puts a spike on either the GND or the control lines to the Triaxis and causes a transient to the digital circuit that changes the state. I have seen similar things on other amps. Generally amp guys make lousy digital stuff. I once ran a G system into a Marshall JVM, and switching the G patches could make the JVM switch channels (the G was not connected to the JVM controllers, just the input and FX loop signal paths).
