KT66, KT77, 5881 ...?

Anyone tried some different tubes, like KT66 (in 6L6 mode) KT77 (in EL34 mode) or 5881s with the Dyne? I am contemplating some GoldLion KT77s for mine ...

Hmmm I have a quad of Siemens RFT EL34s lying here, guess I should try if they bias fine. Hmmm, but I'm still keen on trying them Gold Lion KT77s ... darn expensive though.

I just fitted a quad of RFT Siemens EL34s in the Dyne and while they are biasing a bit cold (about 33mA) they sound great. I am missing a bit the big bottom end of the Mesa 6L6s, but on the other hand, the EL34 grit and crunch is there in spades. Can't have it all I guess.

I also had a quad of EL34BHTs (I didnt even know anymore I had them) and they bias a bit better, they sound very balanced, more bass, but are lacking the awesome grit of the RFTs

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I just leave the **** thing stock since it sounds great. No more mucking about, going to concentrate on playing more instead!!!

Yep! Trying stuff out was fun but, after my learning curve, stock is what I like most!
