Just joined the Boogie Board

Hi folks,

I just joined this message board, from a link posted at the Metallica Club message board.

Well, being a fan of Metallica obviously makes me a fan of Mesa/Boogie amps. I love their crunchy sounds and like learning how they make them.

Playing the guitar myself I'm also on the pursuit of my own tones. I'm a big fan of the IIC+, and love to slap that super-crunch over a massive roaring chug from another amp.

Right now I have a Line6 Flextone II combo amp- it's good but I'm outgrowing it. My guitar is an ESP ltd EC-100 qm with Seymour Duncan pickups (Invader in the bridge, Jazz in the neck). I have an el-cheapo EQ pedal and a BBE Sonic Stomp Maximiser pedal.

This place looks great for learning more about amps and especially Boogie amps. Right now I'm checking out some preamp schematics and gosh they are boggling me! lol

Welcome my friend! Welcome to the true forum of tone. Flextone's are pretty sweet man, I've played through one of my friends. Maybe one day a Boogie will help you acheive that 'tallica tone...I know it did for me. Sounds like you're on your way though, rock on!

This is a great place for information if you need to learn something about your Boogie or anything related to it. It is also fun to just read other's posts and laugh. The people here are primarily easy going and humorous too.
