Last week I shipped them my 1991 Mark IV for overhaul (tired of the broken off knobs).

So original ... estimate was $150-200 and about 2 weeks.
Rich said the Tech tells him it needs more:

Filter caps
New Reverb Tank (I knew it had a broken spring - still worked)
12AT7 Tube (I had a 12AX7 in the phase inverter).

I told him I was ok with the 12AX7 (it was brand new) - he went to ask Tech - Tech said it might cause damage and they won't stand behind it. I said put one in (whats one more tube in the collection?).

Last item: Removal of the Bias Pot mod since it was "touchY"

HA! I've had that amp apart a hundred times and never realized I had that mod! (i bought the amp used).

I asked him to make it all back stock again. Should be $300 plus ship when they are done.

Hopefully it will head home on Monday. I'm looking forward to another decade with this marvelous amp!

So I fiqure I'll have about $500 total into the overhaul my 20 year old amp when its all done. I can live with that.

Mesa's been great so far.

I have to play a gig without it this weekend - It just won't be at all the same. I NEED my baby back!

PLEEEASSSE hurry Mesa!!! Separation anxiety to the max!
