JP7 on order

Well, I decided to bite the bullet and go for a 7 string JP Music man. I'm gonna talk to guitar center tomorrow about the wait time and everything, I went today to give them my specs on whatnot. They are going to call the factory tomorrow, so we will see. Pretty sweet. 8)

i have a jp6, mark iv and gflex. i want the g system but will probably settle for the nova system. anyways, as far as im concerned the tones are amazing and its hard to argue the jp isnt the best playing guitar ever.

Yep, I've a JP fan as well (hence the BFR on order). Your wait time will be about 3 months unless GC happens to have one in stock at one of their stores... I've still got another month to wait for my BFR but it's going to be a SICK guitar.

I would make sure and shop GC they have been overpriced on alot of special order items in my experience. If you don't mind dealing with a mail order place, give Pete Dubaldo a try at http://www.dubaldomusic.com/ he is very knowledgeable and has a personal relationship with the people at EB. Pete personally inspects all the guitars before he ships them. GC will sell you anything and not care about EB's reputation if an instrument arrives with less then exceptable build quality. I have personally delt with Pete and he was great, plus I know he will save you some money.

+1 on the Pete DuBaldo option.

I bought my JP6 thru him and found him a pleasure to deal with.

I got a great price too. A full $140 below the lowest negotiated price (not retail price) in my area. And I had 5 Guitar Centers and 3 independents to choose from.

I actually got a better price from guitar center than DuBaldo, $400 better to be exact. 8)

What model JP are you ordering? For GC to be that much cheaper I wonder, make sure that they place your order properly, and you are getting all the options you want. I have seen them get in an instrument thats not what the customer ordered and still try to sell it to the customer for a slight discount.

Well, I was in the "Special" room when the guy was ordering it and I know him quite well, so I trust that it will arrive how I expected it. I know what you mean though.

excellent choice i have 2 JP6's myself and cannot put them down! next on the list is a BFR then a 7. then i think ill call it quits as ill have enough guitar to keep me going.

I sold, saved, swindled, and saved some more to be able to afford my BFR that I ordered. It should be in ANY day now... Can't wait! My Mystic Dream JP is a superb guitar (especially since I installed a push/pull knob on it for coil tapping) and I would be happy to have it only. The BFR is just a dream come true though. Never in my life would I have thought i'd spend that much on a guitar (or be able to afford one), but it is going to be one superb guitar... !!

Yeah, I will definitely post many pics of it once it arrives. I recently talked to them and they said mid-late june or early july. I hope that is accurate, but you never know.

If you ordered it first week of April then it will be about the first week of July before you'll get it. I'm still waiting for my BFR and I placed the order Jan 25th! The BFRs take longer for some reason. Both my standard JPs took RIGHT AT 3 months to receive from the date ordered. You'll LOVE it thought when you finally get your mits on it!!!
