thx man! guess it's for the oldschool dry tones, right? since I haven't got the chance to try it out at my rehearsal room, it's hard to dial in tones at bedroom volume.
100% true. I owned one of these monsters back in the 80's. It's a really good airy-jangely clean sound. But the tone settings are pretty much irrelevant. I used it for clean and switched between a rack-mounted Chandler Tube driver to front end it for most everything else. It's a essentially giant stereo power amp in a box - with a couple of effect tossed in for good measure.
About a year later I played a used Mark II (first boogie I ever played) in a local shop and the JC days were over! 8)
