Im getting ready to actually build a new Iso Cabinet box to record guitar tracks with. I have some knowledge/experience building them, but its limited seeing that I have only built one once, and actually dismantled it a couple years ago because i wasn't utilizing it enough. Anyways was just wondering what peoples thoughts were with regards to them
Maybe some insight and or opinions on sizes/dimensions of boxes in relation to you cabinet size
Opinions on maybe some of the building materials to use (my old one was basically a 4' X 4' box made of a wooden frame / plywood / soundboard builders type / blueboard (sheetrock) / and auralex studio foam
--- I was going to try to make my next iso cab a tad smaller due to my limited Space.
was going to try to build a port hole on my new iso cab with some some sort of noise suppressing baffling system to let a little bit of air in and out of the box as well. thought that this may help the decrease a little bit of the boxiness of the overall sound and will let a tad bit of air into the box to minimize some of the stress a vacuum sealed enclosure would put on the mic and the guitar extension cab.
ANY INSIGHT OR OPINIONS ON THIS SUBJECT WOULD BE APPRECIATED
THANKS
