Is DC-3 for me? How is the clean headroom?

I'm an old rock player who has joined my first country band. Don't make fun now, though I haven't yet been able to tell my friends. Ultimately I want a 1x12 combo that's reliable with plenty of head room. I would use pedals for most of my overdriven tones. My DC-10 sounds great but I want a smaller, less powerful grab and go type amp for the smaller venues. Have considered the Express 5:50 and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe but my previous DC-5 and current 10 have been good for me with nice cleans.

Will the DC-3 give me a good spanky tone at a good stage volume? We mic everything so it doesn't need to cover the room by it's self. Always open to other ideas. I don't even care if it's only a one channel amp with a great clean tone and headroom. Definitely not interested in a heavy combo amp.

I am also an old rocker currently in a four piece band playing classic, current, folk rock and country.I have been using a DC3 exclusively for about 6 months.I can get all the clean I need and this amp works well with pedals.I am using a Strat,Tele and a Yamaha AES1500 so a compressor helps with keeping guitar changes from being to drastic.I haven't used my HR deluxe since getting this amp.

Are you able to get clean with no hair at a fairly loud volume level? Not looking to break windows. Just keep up with a hard hitting drummer.

I used a DC-3 in a cover band playing everything from ZZ Top, Allmans, to Red Hot Chili Peppers. It did very well for almost everything I wanted.

On a side note, the Maverick's cleans are much better as is the Reverb. The DC has way more gain on the lead channel, but the Mav can definitely hold it's own.

I love mine, but want a 2x12. PM me if you are interested. I'm open to trades too.
