In the Studio

Hey guys, just wanted to share that my band is currently in the studio recording a 4-track demo of some of our new songs to send to record labels as well as event/venues that require press packs. With 2 Boogies and a Krank, we have gotten some of the sickest guitar tone possible. I actually used the spongy/Rectifier tube setting, without knowing it until afterward, to track my guitar, and my goodness it sounds soooo thick(just one take, no overdubbing, and a single cab-stereo mic'd). Also, I stand by Mesa's claim that the Stilleto and Rectifier are made to go together. The tonal characteristics of my Triple with my other guitarist's Duece are complete compliments of each other. We've panned these two guitars about 80%left and right, so the guitars will be very distinct. I'll keep you posted as to when the songs are posted, I think we may put a couple on Myspace, and if not, I'll try and upload them somewhere to post them on here. Man I love Mesa, such awesome amps!

We only had 3 days to record. And we are planning on doing a 7-8 track EP over the summer, we just don't have the time right now. Also, the person we record with is revamping/rebuilding his studio soon, so we're going to go in after it's finished to do the really tight recordings. These sound awesome, but we didn't really take the time to fix every single little thing.
