impulse 600 head tubes?

I just purchased replacment tubes, and noticed they had different model as a mod tube for this amp. is there any valuable difference in the other tube verses the stock 12ax 7 thx. I am the new kid on this block, but not new to playing

I have a big problem . need help my local dealer is a mesa dealer. had my impulse for around 2 years. so i decided to update or change out my tubes. i now have installed 6 tubes given to me by my dealer everyone of them lasts for about 15 minutes then goes out. they are 12AX7(Ecc 83) the writing on them is in black. ok the original tubes in my impulse only say 12AX7 and are in White lettering. they still work and keep on working. so my question is in the pamplet for the impulse head it says they use a12AX7EM tube. so what can i tell my dealer to do to fix this. he just keeps saying he must have a bad batch. thanks

Any 12AX7 should work in that or any amp designed for a 12AX7.If they are only lasting 15 minutes as you describe,your dealer is right-he has a bad batch of tubes.

thanks stokes, he denies this issue and only gave me instrore credit.. i wanted a refund, because now i have no resolution to replacing them, thanks for the reply. bro

So he tells you"he has a bad batch of tubes" and just wants to keep giving you more bad tubes?I would find another dealer.You would be better off using one of the many on-line tube vendors,Dougs or Eurotubes are two that have a good rep around here.
