I know that it's weird but i want to have my pod pro as my preamp and i was thinking of running it into some mesa boogie power amps. What should i run it through to get some loud power for a live show? pardon my ignorance, thanks!

For your minimalist rig you can buy something pod dedicated.... look for some line 6 product and they works fine together.

you could get the mesa fifty/fifty , the older versions are cheaper and are veryvery very loud!

I'd make sure you try it out thoroughly before you buy it, if that is a possibility. I tried a POD Pro with a power amp and couldn't get a decent sound out of it. Of course, that was the first generation of POD Pro and a Peavey Classic 50/50 power amp. Any Mesa power amp would probably give you better results. However, I read on a forum that Line 6 preamp modelers are designed to work with solid state amps, not tube amps... A tech I spoke to at Line 6 would neither deny nor confirm this. Just try it first and trust your ears... Good luck!

I used it with the simulclass 2:90 for years. With the voicing switches, I was able to get a pretty good, I used a couple footwitches to activated the voicing of the 2:90. I later upgraded to the Triaxis and now only use the pod pro for midi switching, tuner, and the delay volume swell effect. I also used channel B of the 2:90 for a different sound to another 4x12, like BKbutler Tube Driver or a Boss acoustic simulator, and then blend the 2 4x12's.
