how much hum do you IIC+ owners get when the lead channel is activated, say with volumes both around 7 or so? I get very noticeable hum, way louder than the clean channel only. I've tried different tubes to no avail. Just wondering how much is normal in these amps, or if I might need a cap job. Thanks!

Have you plugged it into a different wall outlet somewhere else? Grounding issues can sometimes play a role as can voltage supply. I get about 124 volts here in my basement close to my breaker box and my amps are crystal clean on even high gain (until of course very extreme settings), but if I take it upstairs off my Furman Conditioner away from it, near TV's, lamps, junky power strips and computers I get all kinds of background noise on my gain channels. Whether it be noise picked up by the tubes or the cables, it is still clean power related.

Sounds normal to me with the lead lead channel at that volume. It surprising that your not complaining of squealing with the lead bright pulled at that volume.

If it has reverb check out the reverb hum fix post. It's usually an annoying lower level hum on the clean side then is really obnoxious when switch to the lead side. This fix cleans up this noise on the reverb based amps...
