Tell me if this has been done -

Imagine reborn Dual Rec:
1) get rid of Green channel. Change Orange modes to Clean/Raw/Vintage, Red stays same (Raw/Vintage/Modern).
2) 5-band graphic in open channel slot.
3) Optional - foot switchable mode switching on Orange (to toggle between clean and raw/modern)
Otherwise same layout as current Dual Rec.

Keep the rest of amp functionality the same. So basically it's a two channel Dual Rec, with clean mode on the Orange gain channel (omitting the Modern), same red channel plus graphic EQ.

100 watts.

Has this ground been covered by Mesa?

Nope, never been done and if Mesa wants to continue to turn a profit I hope they never do.
What purpose would this ******* of an amp serve?

I like my Dual Rec, but I also like it with the graphic EQ. It does a lot more than nu-metal or Creed tunes. So I like the voicing and functionality of the amp, but want the EQ in there (I use it to boost mids). By omitting a channel and replacing one mode on the Orange, you get Clean/Raw/Vintage/Modern in one amp plus the EQ. I think it's very versatile and still covers a lot of ground. I wish Mesa would market the Dual Rec to other market segments. You can play country or blues of a Dual. Doesn't have to be scooped V nonsense all the time.
