Ok, so while waiting for my amp (in the shop, still, pissed...), for a laugh, decide to demo some wahs that are in the shop, and one of them is th Ibanez WD7. The thing looks stupid, and has the most ridiculous name of any wah ever, and never got a second look from me. I plug it into a Roadster combo because I am familiar with the amp and know how to dial in what I want from it.
The pedal sounds surprisingly good, and is far more versatile than any wah I have owned. I think I must be crazy, because the name is really "weeping demon".
I play dirty, and I play clean, checking all of my wah applications in the chops bag, and this thing really sounds pretty darn good. Plus, you can set it up like a bad horsey if you want, and you also have a dynamic Q control to further alter the sound....
I was (am) impressed. Then I asked in shock what they sell for- *$100*...for a "hundy", this pedal is a steal- if you haven't checked one out, and need a wah, do. If you have checked one out- I am curious of your thoughts- am I nuts, or is this thing a sleeper?....I may really buy one as soon as I can demo it with my Electra dyne....

Totally agree... silly name, but a very versatile pedal for the price. I owned one a couple years ago when I was playing in a hard rock/funk band (think Living Colour) and the WD never disappointed... great for clicky clean wah tones but also had a considerable amount of growl for heavier riffs and solos. Plus I always liked the "switchless" design.

I've considered this wah as well. Lots of people speak highly of it and it is extremely adjustable/versatile. I've not tried one out yet. I'm not 100% happy with my Bad Horsie so I might take a trip to GC and check out the WD. Really cheesy name though for sure.

i had one...
but ended up selling it, and getting a Budda Wah, which is now permanently mounted on my board.
quite happy with it, if you're demo'ing, throw that one in the mix too.

I owned one for about a year. I found I could never get a very good sweep or tone out of it. I tried too. Lots of folks don't like it and I was a bit skeptical on buying one but I liked the "instant on" and the amazing amount of adjustable parameters for a wah. Didn't matter. I ended up with a Dunlop Buddy Guy Cry Baby. Now it's my fourth wah-wah and hands down the favorite. It's my single favorite pedal.

I owned the weeping demon but got rid of it because it started to squeak and the squeak was actually being amplified. I tried some WD40 but it didnt help. It did sound pretty cool though.

I own this pedal and really like it! One of my favorite features is that it can be set to turn on as soon as you push on it, and will deactivate on it's own or you can use it in the conventional way too. You can actually set the time for it to turn off after you remove your foot. It has a a couple buttons to tweak the sound as well and it's built like a tank!!

I've read that some folks have complain about noise, but I haven't had that issue at all. I do have just one complaint though, it's really huge! It takes up alot of space on your pedal board, but I think it's worth it. Best of all, I found it on CL for $60.00!!
