In case anyone is interested, I wrote a review of it here: http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=54644&p=387082#p387082

I plan on spending an hour or so with the amp again tomorrow as well. So far, I like it!

My first thought was a joyous one. I used the first setting listed in the manual. The cleans seemed great, but not as dynamic to my ears as the EDs cleans. To my ears, and through most of the manual's settings, I found the cleans to be more like the Mark Vs cleans -- minus the immediacy of the Mark Vs attack. I am pretty picky with clean tones and tend to hold the Fender 65 Twin Reverb cleans as the ideal clean tone. To my ears, the ED gets closest to that sort of shimmery clean dynamic. ...

Seem to be basically the same with all Mesa's.Also on my TA-15.For cleans, although I like the Petrucci Fat setting, the pinacle for me is 65 Deluxe Reverb shimmer. This I still have to find again-->maybe I buy a Weber 6A20 kit one day just for this purpose

Yeah man, I know we are not alone. I think this is the downfall associated with high gain amps in general. I don't know of a single high gainer with a clean tone close to a Fender's, or anything boutique for that matter. If you dress the tone up with enough delay and 'verb, as does Andy Timmons, you can really make anything sound a bit more shimmery than it really is. Perhaps, that truly is the key then, no? I always, no matter what Mesa I play through (aside from the ED, which is closer to my clean ideal than any other high gain amp), feel the cleans fall well short of amazing.

You like the 65 Deluxe Reverb? That is probably my second favorite Fender clean. Here is my first, a 65 Fender Twin Reverb:

In the past(and still) I would agree to Twin Reverb(actually just a tiny difference to Deluxe Reverb) .But as i play vintage output pickups and need good sound from clean to sweet spot, the 85 watts of Twin Reverb are out of scope.

Just really correct-->this sound will not come of a Mesa(was never buildt for this) as the Santana high gain singing will never come off a DR or TR.

No matter what marketing says not all can be emulated(and I am an Axe-FX owner too)

Thing is though, Mesa cleans weren't really based on the Twin Reverbs to begin with. That being said, I like both types of cleans equally...
