I recovered my stolen Mesa Dual, but NEED info

I ran a small indie/punk rock venue in AL and my Mesa Dual Rec head was stolen by a show goer from out of town. I created a fake myspace profile for a girl and started talking to him after the police were not able to help me. I finally convinced him to meet me somewhere to sell what was left of the amp, called the cops, and made it sound like a robbery so they would show up this time. He had sold all my tubes, blown a circuit, etc... but I couldn't find a serial number. Now, I can't get restitution for the amp or what's left of my amp back unless I can locate the serial number.

Can anyone tell me where the serial number is located and if it may be under the circuit board as well?

The serial # is located on the inside of that no-good thieving s.o.b.'s skull. I recommend using a fireplace poker and a flashlight to help you get a better look.

But if the Serial Number sticker was removed I don't think there is one on the inside of the chassis.

It could still be inside that SOB's skull, I would look anyway......

Sorry for your troubles, I hope this works out for you. I guess I'll be engraving my Roadster's serial number inside the chassis now because of scum-bags like this.
