There are a couple different threads right now about midi....I like the idea but have no idea what exactly i need. I have started to get the pieces to start a rack system. So far i have ordered a Monster pro 2500, and a X2 XDR95 wireless unit. Im running two amps one for my cover band (Mesa Dual Rec) and one for an Orininal Band (Bogner Ubershall). One of the reasons for doing this is that the bogner effects loop does not like stomp boxes and when i called the to see about getting "the blue revision" they said it was not possible and really suggested getting a higher quality effects unit. I think I have settled on a TC G Major. What else will i need? I assume some type of switching system like a rocktron Midi Mate..But this is all completely new to me. Im hopeing that i will be able to run both amps with the same set up....thanks in advance for your help suggestions!!
I was reading in another post that the g major will only run the switching for two of the mesa channels...said something about needing a midi switcher...holy crap its getting deep.

you can switch 3 channels.... for example lets say tip is 1 and ring is 2
if I remember well:

when 1 and 2 are open it selects a channel [ch 4 on my RKII]
when 1 open 2 closed selects another [ ch 3 on my RKII]
when both 1 and 2 are closed i think it switchs to the default chanel [ch 1 on my RkII]
