I didn't ever read up on it and I didn't think it could be a c+ if it had no EQ or reverb. Considering I paid ~500 for it I think the guy I bought it from must have thought the same. The tolex had been falling apart so I took it off and she was looking nasty. Tons of glue and some tolex in places still and black spray paint all over the wood. I took out the amp today and sanded the chassey down and plan to stain and finish it next week.

It wasn't until today that I noticed some of the writing for the first time, and decided to look it up. There's the + under the power cord, there's the initials, and a date of 83. It's serial is11370 though, which apparently is earlier than they started making them. Are there certain marks on the amp to indicate that it has been modified to be a c+? It has the push pull deep pot and the right knobs, and nothing happens when I do the guitar into fx loop test. I'll post pics when I can.

Sounds like it's a Mark IIC that's been updated to C+ specs, just based of the serial number. Those without the EQ are pretty rad amps.. they based the Mark IIC+ mode on the Mark V after the non-geq version of the IIC+..

Awesome! I'm going to call Boogie Monday to see if they have a record of modifying it. I think it was done a really long time ago. Any information that anybody has helps. I will post pics soon, if you guys wanna see them.

here's a list of serials for the early marks... not that there haven't been random ones outside those.. but it's pretty close... I have an upgrade B to C+, it was done in 87'' I believe and Mesa didn't have any record of it, but hey, it's worth calling just in case... if it's been in for maintenance since then they may have a record of it.

Either way, it's a rad amp.. I love mine, I've had it for about 6 months now...

but yea, post up pics, especially if you got some gut shots...

Here is a picture. She's completely naked right now. I think I need to get some new tubes and a new speaker next.

EDIT: Obviously i need a new grill as well How much will some of that cloth cost me? Also, what color stain do you guys think I should use? I just put it back together because I have to wait a few days to buy the stain.

Welcome to the club! nice find... good price too. Get some canned air to clean it up... or at least be careful with an air compressor. Most of are constantly searching for C+ for good prices, and you unknowingly find one! haha great... That "poor man's hardwood" combo should look nice when you are done

One more quick question. How do I tell if it's 60 or 100 watts? Also, anyone got settings for the no eq version?

Do you have 2 or 4 or 6 power tubes? Is there a switch on the back that says 100/60? do you have a goldish color chassis?

gold chassis is 60 watt. 2 power tubes = 60 watt.
