I have been playing a lot more lately these days since getting this thing. It is a '87 red stripe w/ graph eq and simul & rev but no reverb tank so at least the fan cools it better.
Anyways, i just cannot get over how this thing was "out there" in 1987.. (for the record i was born in '82 and have been playing for 13 yrs) that blows my mind when i think about all the tones i am getting even NOW. I couldn't imagine the feeling of prying open a new one of these at the time. Just the amount of voicings by adjusting the 5 band eq is off the wall, the amount of useable gain ontap is incredible too!
My fav is class a with el34s for sure though,
I always heard you have to be patient with these amps and im understanding why.
