I have been playing a lot more lately these days since getting this thing. It is a '87 red stripe w/ graph eq and simul & rev but no reverb tank so at least the fan cools it better.

Anyways, i just cannot get over how this thing was "out there" in 1987.. (for the record i was born in '82 and have been playing for 13 yrs) that blows my mind when i think about all the tones i am getting even NOW. I couldn't imagine the feeling of prying open a new one of these at the time. Just the amount of voicings by adjusting the 5 band eq is off the wall, the amount of useable gain ontap is incredible too!

My fav is class a with el34s for sure though,

I always heard you have to be patient with these amps and im understanding why.

Yeah they still easily hold their own against any modern amp out there. Deffinately weird to dial. Thats probably why they were a turn off back then. Now theyre one of the hottest amps on the used market.
