Drove about 2 hours to Atlanta to pick this bad boy up! Playing it at low volumes tonight through my widebody Thiele and it sounds gooooooood! I wonder how it will do at a show with just the Thiele? It has a 200 watt ev-12l in it. The only problem I've had so far is volume drop when I use my Carbon Copy in the loop. It only drops when I turn the pedal on. I can leave the loop on , but when I engage the pedal , volume drop. Anybody else had this happen? I am playing at low volumes, so maybe it will change when I crank it.

Are these pics from your amp? If so, check out the triode lever in the back for both channels 1-2. If your not using pentode power on all channels you will definitely notice a drop when changing to the ones using less tube power.

I had a bit of that drop too, adjust the loop level.

That looks like the inside of Atlanta Discount Music.

Yep! My first trip there! I saw in a thread that someone said they saw it yesterday, so I went and grabbed it! There was some kid there playing anoyingly loud through a tiny or dual terror. I couldnt even play while he was. Luckily the owner took him to the back so everybodies ears could have a rest. After that they came over and said "You wanna hook this up to this 412 recto to hear what it can do?" (It was hooked up to a 112 open back mesa cab initially). One thing I am gonna love is taking the lpb-1 off my board since I have the solo feature now! That footswitch is a BEAST though! But it does have lots of usefull features on it! I dealt with Jason and he was cool. He even tried to hook us up with tickets to the aquarium, but he couldnt get ahold of his friend. I love having good experiences at music stores!!

Edit: I have been playing through a Mark IV combo with the thiele under it.

Thanks for the tip on that, but I am only getting the drop when I engage my Carbon Copy. I can have the loop engaged the whole time, but it doesnt drop till I actually engage the CC. I have a lot of learning to do with this thing, but I like the layout better than my IV

The triode/pentode option is for channel three only. Channels one and two give you the option of solid-state or tube rectification in 45W mode. ;)

They have a great staff of working musicians. The old guy there is George Coats, the owner. Great guy and huge Beatles fan, knows EVERY song, gigging musician. Did you hear him jamming out? If you go there again, just for fun asking if he knows how to play any Beatles. Have a drink and a snack on hand. He plays it well too. I bought the SLO 100 they had Saturday evening. If you are out of town, and a 'good customer' like you, buying a big amp, they will even stay open late. They have done that for me a few times. It is the polar opposite of Guitar Center....

I met George Coats! He was the one that finally took that kid to the back so we could actually think straight! He was a cool guy and complimented me on my playing  I guess if I actually get an open back 112 it gives me another reason to back. Heluva drive yesterday in the rain. Visibillity was terrible at times on the interstate! Dont know if he will remember me , but next time you are there (if it is soon) tell him the guy that bought the Mark V head had a great experience!
