i ate Ta Tanka

(nakota for 'bison')

heheh

it is quite good, very lean.
i've been eating it ever since i moved out to utah (2000).
we either make chili, or 'bisonburgers' with it.

i always feel a bit sad, because i really like the bison the way they are, alive and running around.
but, my savage hunger for meat always wins out.

also really dig Elk.

any other game meat lovers?

bison fan here!lean stuff....when I do the meat thing(heart patient) and I have a hankerin' for the red stuff, I look for the B when I am feelin' a little wild and woolly...makes me a little gassy, though!(but, what doesn't these days)-its expensive here in the deep south, so its an occasional indulgence,a la bisonburger-ta tanka!

My favorite is venison, with bison a close second. Theres just something "extra" with wild game that appeals to the ol' taste buds.
Bison is kinda pricey though; can't afford to eat it all the time, but it's special when we do. Mmmmmm!! :)

I've had bear meat before and it's not too bad either; a little stronger than beef I would say. it was really tasty off the grill. The moose I've had, I just didn't care too much for... maybe the texture, I don't know. :? Could take it or leave it...

Kangaroo, emu, croc, python, camel.

Roo is good eatin.

Pity I went vegetarian a year ago

i've had bear before too. it seemed pretty lean, like bison, so it got rather dry on the grill. wasn't bad other than that. gotta watch those meats that aren't too fatty....it's easy to overcook them.

venison i like if it has flavorful sauce on it. it's got such a strong taste. my girlfriend (fiance actually) loves it though. and duck too.

I love venison. I just started eating a couple of years ago. I like the lean meat. If you think about it your are what you eat, so I would rather eat a graceful quick animal than a cow that just stands there all day, not that I don't eat beef, but I would take venison over it any day. I haven't tried other meats, but have an open mind.

In Brazil, I went to Rio, stayed on Ipanema 4 days, Manaus, Tres Barras, Sao Paoloand Iguacu. My dad was working for Westvaco, a paper and chemicals company, down in brazil it's called Rigesa. It was awesome down there. Amazing girls everywhere, and I'm 16 walking around trying to hide my constant boner. We were there for Carnival.

well, i had elk steak this weekend, slowcooked with apples and onions...
that was pretty awesome.

elk was taken by a friend of mine, about 3 miles from my house.

hey, yes, I took a river boat up where the amazon and the rio *****? meet, and even further to like a small village and had some food on a floating kind of restaurant. very cool. I remember one place on a dock where this kid had a sloth and a snake on a leash. felt bad for the animals. Iguacu falls was awesome, so was the hotel right there... hot ass girl in thongs at the hotel pool, very surreal... and a zoo on the hotel property. want to go back now I'm an adult!
