I just ordered some Neutrik 4 pin XLR connectors, and it dawned on me i have cat 5 cable in abundance.
My line 6 stuff uses cat 5 for their floorboards.
Since i only need 4 conductors it should work out great since the cat5 has twisted pairs ( 2 wires twisted together in 4 pairs) Plus it is cheap and no audio is going through the cable.
I should be able to put this all together just about any length i want for under $20 including all of the parts.
I have been using my cat 5 on my vetta for over 3 years without any problems after being kicked around and road abuse.
Plus its CHEAP to replace.
