I'm getting a little bit of a hum when I activate the reverb on my LSC. I use a footswitch plugged into the reverb switch jack under the chassis in the back of the amp. Would this be a tube issue? Any suggestions?

It could be. Swap v1 with the reverb tube and see if it stiil does it. Try the reverb manually with no footswitch and cable. Inspect reverb cables, give em a jiggle. Could be a loose ground wire in the tank. Just a few thoughts for ya Danny.

I think when I followed the manual and used an unshielded cable for the reverb footswitch, I found it was really noisy -- hummmmm. When I switched to a regular guitar cable the hum stopped.

Weird that that's what the manual says... maybe I misunderstood. Anyway, use a shielded cable.
