Not this one specifically, but i found one that i'm pretty sure is identical to this (right handed though) in a pawn shop this weekend and i was wondering what they generally go for used. It had the licensed Floyd Rose with the tremolo bar and it looked to be in good condition. The store was asking $195 CN and that seemed surprisingly cheap to me.

If it comes with the case that is a fair price. But without the case, I wouldn't do it. You could get an RG550 for about $150 more which is a way better guitar.

good to know. i don't think it comes with a case but i didn't ask either. i didn't really consider getting it until i got home and started thinking about it a bit. what are the pickups like in this one? are they decent or ****?

Can't tell which model it is...did you check the back of the headstock my any chance?

With Ibanez guitars, you want to try to get an RG 5xx or higher.

Also depends which licsensed floyd it has.

At that price, you can't go too bad though.

And stock Ibanez pickups are pretty poor :?

I didn't think to check the headstock. I've never owned an Ibanez before so i didn't really know what to look for. However from what i can remember it was virtually identical to the one in that ebay auction, right down to the color. But maybe i'll swing by the shop after work today and get a better look at it.

What should I look for to determine whether it's a good Floyd Rose or not?

Due to the fact that it has H-S-H, it's probably an RG570. It's also a reissue since I can see the RG series painted under the logo. It still is a great axe. The Serial on the back of the headstock would be the key.

you can get them new w/case for about $400. Used, probably about 1/2 that price...

It is a 470 with the crappy LO TRS II floyd. I would avoid this guitar because the problems you will have with the bridge won't be worth the cost of the guitar.

If you replace the bridge with a GOTOH for about $150 it will be leaps and bounds better than stock but now that puts you right near the price of a 550/560/570 which has a much better bridge to begin with.

Stock Ibby pickups usually aren't revered as desirable so you also have to be open to new pickups.

Isn't this basically what I said above? The bridges on the cheaper RG's suck. Save for an RG550 or better, it will be worth it, trust me.
