Well, I am going to do another total gear overhaul and I was wondering what you guys think I should price my gear at. I never like posting up prices that are too high and feeling like a dick after I realize it is too high, and I don't want to put it too low as to lose money. So I figure, who else is better to talk about prices with than other guitarists?

Here is what I've got:

1. '94 Mesa/Boogie Mark IVA shorthead - Immaculate condition, tubes only have been in there for a few months. Comes with FU-3 and original cover. Absolutely no flaws.

2. '93 (or so I was told, have yet to verify) Mesa/Boogie Thiele - Immaculate condition, loaded with original EV-12L. Again, absolutely no flaws. And matches the Mark IV perfectly!

3. '07 Avatar G212 Vintage Premier 2x12 - Brand new condition. Got it in May and barely used it. Loaded with a Vintage 30/G12H30 combination. Had the grill upgraded to a black one for $30.

4. Digitech Metalmaster pedal - Good condition, a couple very minor scratches and thats it. Comes with a 9v power supply.

5. Tascam GT-MKII guitar trainer - Brand new condition. Got it a few months ago and never used it. Comes with a power supply.

Thanks in advance :D

The Mark IV you can probably get between $1100 and $1600 for depending on how bad someone wants one (I had a guy in my area offer me $1600 for mine a few days after I bought it for a lot less than that).

The Thiele you could probably snatch between $200 and $400 for.

The rest of the stuff I'm not sure. I would try selling it all together for about $2000, maybe a little more that way you give the buyer room to "haggle" with. The question is what are you looking to replace it with?

Thanks for the feedback man, that is about what I am hoping to get for it all. We'll see how it all goes.

I am going to be replacing the rig with an Engl Powerball and Mesa Rectifier 4x12. I need more searing modern metal tone and the Mark IV just isn't doing it for me. I tried a two channel Dual Rectifier and it got close, it just didn't have all the versatility that the PB has. It is a real shame because I absolutely love the lead tone of the Mark IV, but more often than not in our band situation we play harmonized lines and I would rather have a tone that would mix better with my other guitarist than go over him.

Indeed I am. I feel bad about considering selling my Mesa gear, but it is all about what I am going to be most happy with that matters.

What ever gets you the tone your after is all that matters. Good luck, and you shouldn't have a problem selling the Mark IV they are hot right now and it seems everyone wants one and will pay top dollar for a used one. You can always give me the thiele :D I could use a second one

Yeah man, I am hoping the Powerball or Savage will be it for me. I feel like I will be backstabbing Mesa as I have come to love them, but I just can't find that sound I want anywhere else. Oh well, I hope someone picks up the Mark IV so both of us can have amps that suit us well.

Indeed. Best 4x12s I have heard, but not always the most attainable.
