How do you get the back off of a Mesa Recto 2x12???

When I move it around I hear something rattling around inside. So, I want to take the back off and have a look around.

I removed all of the screws... I removed the jack plate... but it just won't budge! I'm trying to pull up on the hole where the jack plate goes, but to no avail.

Any hints here?

keep pulling.
there is a sticky material in between the back pannel and the rest of the cab that keeps it on there good and tight.
it'll come off with some muscle.

Holy crap... you're not kidding! I had to pry the edges up with a crowbar and it was still a struggle!

One of the speakers was mounted very loosely and was moving around inside the cab.

:?: Can you crank down the screws really tightly or do you need to leave them a little loose?

As always don't exaggerate, but fix them tight enough
