like whats the deal with the "20/20" or "50/50" why are they written like that. sorry for the lack of knoladge. but yea whats the deal with those? Thanks!

Quite simply the two amps you mentioned are stereo poweramps. The 20/20 has 20 watts per channel stereo, and the 50/50 is selectable between either 15 or 50 watts per channel. They are only poweramps and still need a preamp to drive them.

simply put as - preamp = the thing you plug your guitar into to get your tone, then preamp into the poweramp. the poweramp serves one purpose - to amplify the preamp level because it's a really low signal and can't be heard ( think of it as a "master volume " on the amp ) and the preamp is are the EQ and gain settings ) also note that, the poweramp has a distinct tone as well.. so that's why people prefer different poweramps. all these factors contribute to tone. now to answer your question about the name 20/20 , and 50/50 these are named because these mesa poweramps are in stereo.. meaning two distinct channels with distinct volume knobs. Most preamps are in stereo ...so you just send one channel to a cab and the other to another cab.. this is usefull for nice stereo effect processors.. hope that helps,
