unless youre using it for extreme boosting or cutting effects, id sell that one and replace it with the MXR 10 band eq. this pedal made a huge difference in my tone live. more than any amp or guitar made.
but dont put it in the effects loop!!! i know alot of guys say to do that but its really not where that type of pedal is meant to go. the effects loop of the rectifiers isnt that great and it doesnt like those pedals in the loop. i tried it and it was SOOOO sensitive to boosts in frequencies and gain, not a good idea, i removed it from tth eloop immediatly,
put it in front of your amp and boost the mids in a smooth up and down taper from left to right. leaving alone the lowest and highest frequencies, and the middle most frequency should have between 6-10 db of boost. you sholdnt need to touch the volume or gain sliders on the mxr eq. as boosting the 5 or 6 mid sliders will be adding gain in those frequencies, although if you want MORE gain for solos, you can give 4-5 db of boost on the volume or gain slider.
you can do all this with the boss eq as well, i have that one too, but it isnt as sweet as the mxr 10 band.
