Hi guys! Thanks for this amazing forum.I am owner of a mark v head and a 2x12 recto cab,and i am reaaaaaaaaally happy with him.Its my first valbe amplifier and sounds like a dream :) . I would like to ask everybody if it's something wrong with the amplifier if the lights(in my case second channel, the yellow) of the frontal panel are not on.My thing is that, today, the second channel light started to lose his light, slowly. If i change the channel and go back to the second, the light start to lose the light and,in 10-20 seconds, there is no more light!

The lights of the footswitch works perfectly and i can change without any trouble, but my question is if the light has any relation with the sound of channel,or if its a signal that's somethings going wrong.
Personally,i don't find different sound when the light is on or not,but im not sure about it.And well,it's my first expensive amplifier so i'm a bit nervous if something's wrong with him. That's the reason i'm here!

That's all i think!,thank you so much for your time!!Cheers

Congrats on the new amp!!

Your case is odd, I'd call Mesa.
I go by the footswitch light so I'd never know
if the channel light on the front panel is out
or not...hehe.

It's the connection to the solder coming loose. It's the same thing with my Mark IV. You can push the light to see if it stays lit. If it does? then it just needs to be resoldered if it bothers you. You can take it to a tech to do that or do it yourself. Very minor but annoying flaw.

happened to me too but on ch3... after a few month the led begin to work normally... I don't really know what happened....

Guys thank you so much for the answers! Seems that the led works when he wants but the amp sounds good so...maybe if i go to tech one day i ask to change the leds. In my case, call mesa is imposible (well, not imposible but very expensive) because i'm from europe : (

Again, thank you very much and happy new year lol!cheers!

Hey people, today i woke up and started to play with my mk v and suddenly a big noise became to sound :( ,it's only in the channel 3 and the variac power mode. I don't know why but the noise dissapears in the full power mode. It's very annoying and today everythings it's closed in my city so i need to wait until monday :| :|
Does anybody know why this could happen? Its horrible when you buy gear that only you can dream about have it and then this kind of things happens.
I recorded a video where you can hear the sound. Any help, recomendation or so to relax me would be great XD
EDIT:I turned off the mk about 2 minutes and seems that the sound dissapeared..I don't think it was a interference because it was too loud..the point is that before i bought it,in the store, the amp made sometimes this kind of noise, but the dealer told me that it was because the electronic of the store. So i don't know exactly what happen or what i can do.

Hi again folks.Since my last post i've been suffering the noises in the amp that i showed you in the last video. The bad thing is that the noise sometimes is on and sometimes off,but i feel that is more on than off.So i decided to look the valves and i don't know if this can be the problem, but it seems that one of them (or 2,im not sure) are not working. I took a picture

What do you think? Is the same in your Mark V?Or all the valbe must shine??
Well,thank you so much. Cheers!
