I wish I knew about a Mesa and even owned one at 17! I was 24 before I found out about Mesa amps and bought one... That was 2 years ago, but still!

+1.

I found out about Mesa when I was 16 but couldn't afford one until I was 23 (I'm 25 now). It was the best day of my life when I bought 2 Mesa Straight 4x12 Cabs and Two Triple Recto's. I kept the neighbors up for a week.

Congrats on the Mark IIC+ MetalMofo. You are the most popular minor on this here Boogie Board.

Yeah i was 23 when i purchased my first Boogie (which i still own the DC-5) and am 28 now.

I've been through my share of Mesas in the last two years and the DC-3 is where I've called it quits on my tone quest! Great, great amp... the DC-5 is the only other amp that interests me, but I like my shorthead and recto 1x12 cabs setup too much!

i guess i should have specified that it is a 1985 mark 3 red stripe. i thought i put it in but it past my memory. the serial is 15943

the 943rd mark 3!

and i am goin to jam again today so i may be able to borrow my friends cam and put up his mesa boogie big block 750 up as well. at 17 my band rapes ears man! we actually shifted the houses foundation lol. but anyways enough of the bragging, although i am bragging about how great mesa is! i will try to get a pic of full rig and bassists stuff.

Oh not a C+...MK III is still a decent amp.

The DC-5 is an amazing amp for me. I love it. I watched your youtube vid when you first got that DC-3 and dig the tone you have coming from that bad boy too. :D

I only had the amp for a day or so before I made that video and I didn't even have my Mesa Recto cabs yet. I was playing through a Tech21 cab if you recall. The tone is MUCH better now that i've got my cabs and i've had time to tweak my settings and do some tube swaps. I need to do another video.

I still want to hear a DC-5... I think it and an LSC are the only other boogies that interest me.

What the hell do MKIII's sound like?

I've only had my first mesa for about not even 2 weeks now.. a DC-5 combo. I just turned 16 a few days ago. Haha. I love this thing.. it wails.. I had a Peavey ultra plus before which was my first tube amp. Too loud, and though I liked it, it didn't seem to have too much character. this dc-5 just has tons of character that i love. :)
