I recently bought a mark iva, woohoo.. Im thinking of buying a power conditioner for to protrect my precious amp. Can anyone recommend me a cheap one?.. and btw, our power here is 220v and my mark iv is 110v. Thanks.

Sir your furman pl is 220v right?.. can you plug a 110v amp tru it?.. this is what im worrying about. Tnx sir

I've realized that a power conditioner does nothing except for just giving you the option to plug multiple devices into it.. the 'real thing' is a power stabilizer, to always get constant 110V (or 220v if you prefer) with filters - and that costs at least here in EU a zillion.. I would not buy a power conditioner and use it with my mark and think that it would help me getting a constatnt energy source without peaks and losses.. :)

My Furman is 110v...They do indeed make a 220v version...

Secondly, my Furman does in fact have filters just like the Monster Power Pro, at way less the cost (mine is also the older big blue lettering version, Series II I think).

Someone is drinking the Monster Power koolaid.

You need a voltage REGULATOR such as the Furman AR-1215. Sorry, they are expensive and heavy. Anything else is just a power strip with a surge protector. Better than nothing, but just barely.
You also need a step-up transformer to go from 120 to 220 volts.
