Did a quick search and could only find one post remotely related to this which said to use Krylon spray paint in Flat Black.

What paint do you use to touch up your Studio Pre, Quad, Midi Matrix, Abacus, FU-2, FU-2a, FU-3, 295, rack ears, etc?

Please be as specific as possible regarding brand and finish as well as any application advice, if necessary.

I want the touched up areas to blend with the stock finish as much as possible as some of the problem areas are on parts that are seen. Some screws have major rust or are missing, do you get OEM replacements from Mesa or another source?

Thanks.

Bobby

You can buy black touch up paint at any Wal-Mart. Your not going to get it exact because I believe the coating they use at the factory is a powder coat that they bake on.

Chicago is a big metropolitan area, look for a powder coating and media blasting service and they will be able to do it right for you.

The touch up paint idea will most likely look amateur.

Alrighty then!!!!

A pragmatist and an perfectionist throw me a bone each. Thanks.

Anyone else have some pearls of wisdom on this?

I would like to keep my Boogies in good working condition.

I imagine rust could eventually start forming on the board.

Anything to do that will keep rust from visiting?

A black perminent marker works great for a quick touch-up of small scrapes and chips.
