Help on buying a Mark IV!!!

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice on what to look out for when buying a used Boogie!!! I am looking at a 1993 mark IV!!! I have never bought a used tube amp so I'm not sure what defects or damages etc i should be looking out for!! Any bit of help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

just give it a good play test, check all the functions to see they are working. If you can, pull the chassis, very easy to do, give it a visual inspection to look for any sloppy soldier jobs that may be mods or sloppy repairs. might need a cap job in another 5 to 10 years. these are built very solid, so if it was taken care of, it should be in good shape

Great, thanks for your advice... Turned out to be an excellent amp so bought it in the end...Really in top condition!!! Delighted to be finally playing Mesa Boogie!!!
