help me to mod my DC-5

Hi guys,
I have updated my Engl Thunder to a Mesa Boogie DC-5b. I'm quite happy right now with this head, but I would like to do the volume and the serial fx loop mod.

Could you point out what I would need to do?

ok, afaik the mods should be the following:
for the volume mod, I would need to cut the resistor that is soldered to the pcb (shown in the first picture).
for the fx serial mod, I need to cut the white wire and re-sold the red wire to the orange wire.

Is this correct?
