Is it just my Amp or what? Why does modern mode have such a significant jump in power and volume than Vintage mode has? Is this normal???
This question is regarding the single Rec series II.

It's normal and is because Modern mode removes the Negative Feedback loop from the power amp. Negative feedback acts like a regulator or damper, and without it the amp gets a lot looser-sounding and louder. It shouldn't be an issue in use because you can't footswitch between the two modes.

Very normal and explained in the manual. Mesa has the best manuals out there. Might be a good idea to read through it.
