There's a Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier that's come up for sale in my area. He's selling just the head for $675.00, I dunno but that sounds decent. The head is in fantastic condition, everything works properly, and still has 3 years left on its warranty with original receipts.

So....Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier Solo 50 for $675.00?

To BUY or not to BUY?

The older single ROV versions (1&2) were 50 watt, in head or combo, from the late '90s to mid '00s, I think.
The newer single ROVs are 25 watt, also in head or combo, and came out a few years ago.
Apples to apples.
Check eBay sold listings of the exact amp, and calculate what the average is.
Become an educated buyer and search and research.
Or...just buy it :p

Edit- BTW, welcome Mesa Rookie :!:

Wait, $675 CAD for the amp? Your account says you are in Calgary!
For the americans here, with the exchange rate you get a price of approx $508 USD for that amp.

I say get it.

now.

OP is asking about the Single Recto Solo, not ROV.

The Solo 50 was always 50W, with the V2 adding a bias select switch (EL34/6L6) and External Switching Jacks.

I agree, good price.

My bad. When I see "single", I think ROV

So, I actually bought the amp a year or so ago. I just set up the question to hopefully get better response. And the number is USD. I converted it by the exchange rate from when I bought it (0.91 CAD / 1.00 USD) . Mainly because our current exchange rate is a brutal 0.75 USD right now.

Since I've moved to Alberta, a province well known for It's oil production, I keep finding crazy deals. Currently oil is somewhere around 30$/40$ a barrel compared to the consistent 90$/100$ they were used to before I moved. There is this plethora of beginners with what was once significant cash flow buying serious gear. And then when oil tanks and the cash doesn't flow so well they sell these super clean pieces of professional gear for ridiculous prices. Just gotta keep looking at the online classifieds.

So, your first post on this forum is just a joke?? A way to justify some buyers remorse, and/or 'toot your own horn' on a great deal you got a year ago?

And to title the thread with a big 'HELP!!' Also? The neewb who cried wolf?

Were you afraid if you were honest in your post you would not have gotten the answer you wanted to hear?

There is already a forum for these types of posts, it's at HarmonyCentral.com

You would have gotten my truthful opinion even if you said "so, I bought a Single Recto Solo last year for $675. Was it a good deal?", even without the "HELP!!"

Well then, I feel pretty good now, after doing some research of my own and knowing there's actually a Solo 50 Head residing inside my ROV,
plus reverb, plus speaker, and I only paid $650 :p

And really, thinking beyond it's value, it doesn't matter, because the sound and feel of it are priceless :!:

You hit the nail on the head Dom - what a DLA - "D**k like activity"

Why would someone new to the forum do something like that? Great way to make an impression
