Heartbreaker Pickup Preference

Is there a certain type of pickup that the Heartbreaker works best with? I have a PRS Custom 24, and I'm thinking of putting some Phat Cat P-90's in it. I also have an '03 Ovation Collectors.

I have several guitars and so far all type of pickups work fine, personally I prefer how the single coil sounds in it but the amp works also very good with humbuckers.
