I prefer the Egnater M4 into the return of my Mark IV over my VHT 2:50:2 or 395 poweramps.
Partly because of the graphic EQ and Presence which are POST return!
Anyone else using their Mesa/Boogie head/combo powersection this way?

It's really not a bad idea. You are free to adjust your sound however you want. Metallica ran a Mk IC+ into a JCm800 for Master of Puppets and I'm sure there are many bands who do that even today.

i run 1 side of my quad into a rackmounted simul-satellite. it sounds great to me. the other side goes into a carvin t100 w/ el34s. nice compliment of tones.
