Blast that thing for a while. It will take some time to break in the speaker. Any amp will sound better after breaking in, getting used to dialing it in, and at a decent volume. The speaker needs to work up a sweat. It gets some natural compression going when getting hammered. I think there is something to the feel of the sonic pressure on our bodies and brain.
I can play my little MKIIC thru the 1x12 the combo has, then plug it in to a 4x12 and feel the air moving and bass vibrate things a bit. It's all part of what I consider a good playing experience. The headphones and little near field monitors with modeling gear has a place, just not that intensity I want when playing.
Crank the Boogie. Plug her in a 4x12 and let it rip. I bet it breathes fire!
