Hey everyone! I hope everybody is healthy and doing well! I wanted to post some gut shots of my newly acquired IIC+ DRG. I want to send it in and have Mike go over it, as it seems like the caps and power cable were replaced at some point and some of the pots move a bit rough as well as the EQ sliders. The date on the chassis says 2/85 and this one has a Mark III faceplate and from what I’ve been told it’s a factory C+ (It has the 105 transformer). Anything anyone can tell me about the guts?

Sending it to Mike is a good idea. Several replaced components. All the filter caps in the power supply are replaced and the trim pot peaking out of the RTV is odd. Solder on the power tube does not look factory.

The circuit boards look to be in good shape, hopefully the transformers are as well. Should be no problem getting to prime condition. If it sounds good now, can only get better.

Thank you for all the info. I’m definitely gonna send it in. Do you happen to know if Mesa Boogie still sells the old school square eq sliders by any chance?

I don't know what parts they have. Whatever they do have will fit and work.

I'm getting my MKIIA back tomorrow. I sent a list of what I did myself previously, what I wanted checked and asked for Mike to propose any suggestions. He replied once it was on the bench and closed on the list quickly. As an example, the AC lamp lens is broken off, I didn't want a different color if it wasn't a safety issue. Original lamp stayed. He did some slight mod to the V3 tube so I would get better gain with modern 12AX7 tubes but still have the option to use the Fetron.
