Goofy footswitch cable question about Mesa...

... specifically, the Lonestar Special. As in: Is that just a standard instrument cable they use?

The reason I ask is, I tried using a Monster instrument cable and the footswitch behaved very erratically and not as I would expect (one button worked, the other didn't).

Is there a special type of cable I need to buy?

Told ya it was goofy...

Two button switches would need a TRS (or "stereo") cable. A regular guitar cable would only complete the circuit for one switch, so the behavior you got was what I would expect to see.
