Gibson has come up with another way to cash in on their brand name. Virtually all consumer products are made in SE Asia, so I doubt that the products will have anything special to offer. Will consumers outside of the guitar world really associate the Gibson name with desirabilty and alter their purchasing decisions accordingly?? I dunno.
Personally, I associate Gibson with "over priced old designs" and have decided to buy Heritage instead of Gibson in the future, but now I'm having second thoughts. Heritage does not make DVD players yet, just plain old guitars. If I want a guitar with a built in DVD player, Heritage won't do the job.
